Jamie thought she was a cow when she came to us.

She was 25 years old when her elderly owner died, leaving a small farm with a handful of cows and one horse. She had been born on the farm and never left it. She just lived in a big field with the cows. She also never had been treated by a vet or seen by a farrier.

Jamie never learned how to do anything -- tie, pick up her feet, and was never, ever ridden. She was healthy, but totally useless to anyone who wanted a pleasure horse.

Now she has a permanent home at Eye of the Storm where she enjoys being groomed, fed, and turned out. What a life!
